At Giant Shoe Creative, we use the phrase "social media, not sales media" quite a bit. And while some creators (and some of our clients) have had great success using social media as a sales funnel, it isn't the first goal.
Here's what a working social program does your business:
It's where people check whether you're real. Before a prospect calls you, they look you up. A feed that stopped in 2019 isn't a good look for anyone.
It's the audience research you can engage with. Comments, questions, saves, and shares tell you what your customers care about in their own words.
It makes your paid budget go further. The organic content that performs is a great starting point for what you put money behind.
And it compounds. Audiences take months to build and algorithms reward showing up consistently. The brands with good social in 2026 have likely been building that audience for a long time.

When you sign up for social media with Giant Shoe Creative, it means we take care of (almost) everything. Our team plans, shoots, edits, and posts the content, and then engages with your audience directly.
A lot of social media retainers are priced only for scheduling and community management with content creation quietly left on your side of the line. Our shoot days are built into the program, so the photos and videos in your feed are ours to make and yours to keep.
A good ballpark for a professional social media account is once or twice a week at most while you are starting out.
Even the most entertaining brands know that posting more that once or twice a week is risky. Social media is where people interact with friends and family, and brands should sit in the background as much as possible.
When you do post, it needs to be higher-value than just another picture of another job well done or a product you want to sell. Keeping posting to "only when necessary" prevents your audience from being overwhelmed, keeps your content focused on supporting your community, and maintains a fair budget while still accomplishing your goals.
Generally it is a good idea to reserve additional budget for boosting posts that are performing well. However, an organic post that nobody is engaging with won't suddenly go viral when you put some money behind it. We like to keep a "boosting budget" for when something is outperforming the standard, and the use it to increase the traction of what is resonating with your target audience.
Yes! Giant Shoe Creative has both commercial and social video production options - or both, on the same shoot, if needed.
Vertical-video should be shot deliberately, and not just cut out from your horizontal content. Creative work performs best when it is given specific considerations for each platform.
Yes! Giant Shoe Creative Agency is based in St. Catharines, Ontario, but regularly travels across Canada and the U.S.
For social media management in Toronto and the GTA, we can bring a mobile studio to your business or arrange location scouting/booking as needed.
