“You Don’t Have to Second-Guess the Process”: A Decade as ES Fox’s Production Arm

This is about what happens when we stop being a vendor and start being a marketing partner, an integrated media organ that the organization can rely on.
“The bottom line is this: in business, time is money, and what you do not want to do is waste time … we need to know that there is creativity coming on the other side.” – Frank Pepers, former VP of Business Development, E.S. Fox Limited
E.S. Fox Limited has been building and fabricating for the industrial, commercial, institutional, and nuclear sectors out of Niagara Falls since 1934. Their work spans oil and gas, pulp and paper, automotive, pharmaceutical, and Tier 1 nuclear supply chain projects across regional offices throughout Ontario. It’s a business where safety, compliance, and precision are the daily reality. At this scale, it is crucial to have a marketing and production partner that can deliver to those standards without getting caught up in lengthy onboarding delays and approval processes.
A familiar partnership creates trust; trust saves time (and money).
The Media Production Arm of an Enterprise
Our relationship with ES Fox is the production department they didn’t have to build in-house:
Internal-facing video such as fully produced safety meetings and training, helping standardize how new processes and procedures get communicated across a large, distributed workforce. Content has to be accurate, clear, and trusted by every employee who sees it.
Job site documentation across the province, including drone footage, active worksite photography, and a significant amount of travel to sites throughout ES Fox’s regional footprint to capture the scale and precision of work that most people never see.
Company portraits and event coverage, giving a large, multi-site organization a consistent visual identity for its people, not just its projects.
Corporate identity projects including brand videos and culture pieces which foster company pride, unity, and identity in large workforces. Producing branded material at scale greatly benefits from a marketing partner that knows your organization like a good friend.
“You don’t have to second-guess the process. You know it’s going to be good, you know it’s going to be effective, and it’s going to be done efficiently and within your budget.” – Frank Pepers, former VP of Business Development, E.S. Fox Limited
In an industry where schedules and budgets are tracked as closely as safety records, a production partner who needs constant oversight and direction is inefficient. Being trusted to handle an accurate safety meeting recording or a job site shoot four hours away without a full internal review process at every step is what makes an ongoing partnership like this worth it.
Pick the partner that can be told there is a historic move of a 200t, 84 foot door being tugged down a canal with your logo on it sometime in the next 30 minutes, and they’ll be there with a drone, because they get it.
Beyond Video: A Full Digital Ecosystem
It’s about more than media!
We redesigned ES Fox’s website, and built a custom landing page for Fox Women Forward, the company’s internal initiative supporting women in trades, leadership, and every role across the organization. We integrated their HR software directly into the web experience, giving both new hires and existing employees a guided, consistent way to navigate onboarding and internal resources.
None of that is flashy, customer-facing marketing. It’s infrastructure, which lays down the crucial foundation for large enterprise businesses to function efficiently and with consistency.
Companies in construction, industrial fabrication, and other operations-heavy sectors often treat internal communication like safety training, onboarding, job site documentation, as separate from important external marketing content.
In practice, it’s some of the highest-stakes content an organization produces, because employees, safety, and compliance are all riding on it being clear, consistent, and accurate. Your workforce should be engaged with your internal content and identity just as your customers are engaged with your marketing material.
“I would never have it any other way than to work with Giant Shoe Creative.” – Frank Pepers, former VP of Business Development, E.S. Fox Limited
That’s the kind of trust that only builds over years, and across projects. It’s exactly the principle behind why marketing works better when everything connects: a website, an HR integration, a safety video, and a recruitment landing page all reinforcing the same organization instead of being handled as disconnected one-offs.
What to Look for in a Production Partner
If your organization is evaluating whether to build this kind of relationship with an outside creative team, a few questions from ES Fox’s experience are worth asking:
Can they handle content that isn’t customer-facing: safety, training, internal culture, with the same care as a public campaign?
Do you trust them enough to travel to a job site and capture what matters without a producer hovering over every shot?
Can they work across formats like video, web, software integration, instead of handing you off to a different vendor for each piece?
Does the relationship save you time, or does managing it become its own job?
Most of all, do they know you? If they are going to be writing, producing, and communicating with you, they probably should.
Looking for a creative and production partner who can become part of how your organization actually runs, not just another vendor to manage?Let’s talk.
